Antinote
A scratchpad for throwaway notes, math and timers
The verdict
For $5 once, Antinote gives you a plain-text scratchpad on Option-A for the notes you never mean to keep. Lines can do math with context, convert units and currencies, run a Pomodoro timer or pull text out of a screenshot, and old notes clear themselves away. Notes stay on your Mac and the iPhone version is still in development, so Tot or Drafts suit people who need notes everywhere.
Get it if
You keep a dozen untitled Stickies or TextEdit windows open for numbers, links and to-dos.
Skip it if
You need every note on your iPhone today, which Drafts or Apple Notes already handle.
What it helps you do
- Jot a note without opening Apple Notes
- Do quick math with labels attached
- Convert currencies and units inline
- Copy text out of any screenshot
