coconutBattery
Battery health and cycle count for Mac and iPhone
The verdict
coconutBattery shows how healthy your battery really is, with its current capacity against the original, the cycle count and the charge now. It reads Macs, and with Plus it also reads a connected iPhone or iPad. Plus adds a Battery Lifetime Analyzer, SSD stats and battery details in the menu bar. The basic app is free and has been around since 2005.
Get it if
You are buying a used MacBook or iPhone, or you want to know when your battery is worn out.
Skip it if
You only want to cap charging at 80%. AlDente does that, and macOS already shows a basic battery health reading in System Settings.
