Flipcorder

A daily video diary shot like a VHS camcorder

iPhoneiPad$4.99 once

The verdict

Filming your day in 20 second clips is the whole idea behind Flipcorder, an iPhone video diary that stacks them on one dated tape of up to 30 minutes. At night the clips play back in order as a single unedited home movie with a VHS or clean MiniDV look, and the original footage is never changed. It costs $4.99 once, with no subscription, watermark or ads, and needs iOS 26.

Get it if

You want to film a little of each day and watch it back as one tape, without editing anything.

Skip it if

You want to edit clips freely or film in long takes. The iPhone Camera app and iMovie handle that.
