Hidden Bar
Hides the menu bar icons you don't need to see
MacFree, open source
The verdict
If your MacBook's notch keeps swallowing menu bar icons, this free, open source app hides the ones you rarely use behind a small arrow. Command-drag icons to either side of a divider, then click the arrow when you need them back. It does that one job well, while Ice, also free, can show hidden icons in a second bar under the notch, and Bartender adds hotkeys and search for $25.
Get it if
You have so many menu bar icons that some vanish behind your MacBook's notch.
Skip it if
You have 4 or 5 menu bar icons and plenty of room to spare beside the notch.
