Mercury Weather
A weather app built around clear, simple charts
The verdict
Free to download, with paid plans from $14.99 a year or $59.99 once, Mercury Weather shows the forecast as clean charts you read in a glance. It adds radar, hurricane tracking, tide forecasts and a Trip Forecast for each stop of an upcoming trip, and its privacy label says it collects no data. Carrot Weather suits people who want more data sources and a joking robot instead.
Get it if
You check the weather several times a day and want a chart instead of a wall of numbers.
Skip it if
You glance at today's temperature and nothing more, which Apple's free Weather app already shows.
