PlateDiary

A photo diary of the meals you eat out

iPhoneiPadFree to start

The verdict

Snap a photo of the table when the food arrives and PlateDiary cuts every dish and drink out into its own sticker, right on your iPhone, in about a second. Your meals group by night, place and the people you ate with, so you can look up what you ordered last time at a restaurant or spin a craving wheel to pick dinner. There's nothing to count, no account to make, and calories stay off unless you switch them on.

Get it if

You eat out a lot and want to remember what you ordered, where, and who was at the table.

Skip it if

You want to track calories and nutrition every day. A dedicated food tracker suits that better.
