PopClip
A small action bar that pops up when you select text
The verdict
Where the right-click menu needs a second click and a hunt through a list, PopClip shows text actions in a small bar the moment you select something. Its library of 253 extensions adds unit conversion, paste without formatting, translation and sending text to Things or Obsidian. The $12 license covers 5 Macs but only 2 years of updates, so the $32 lifetime license is the better buy if you plan to keep it.
Get it if
You copy, search or translate snippets of text dozens of times a day and hate the trip to menus.
Skip it if
You select text only to copy and paste it, and Command-C already does that.
