Sortio
AI file organizer that sorts from a typed request
The verdict
Describe how you want your files sorted and Sortio, an AI organizer for Mac, reads them, proposes folders and new names, and shows a preview before anything moves. Every change can be undone, and a rule builder handles simple sorting for free without AI. Pro adds a monthly AI allowance and automations that sort new files as they arrive.
Get it if
You have a messy Downloads or Documents folder and would rather describe the fix than build rules.
Skip it if
You do not want file names sent to an AI service. Local mode needs Ollama set up.
What it helps you do
- Sort a messy Downloads folder in one request
- Rename files based on what is inside
- Preview every move and undo it later
- Sort new files automatically with rules
