DockDoor
Window previews on Dock hover and a window switcher
MacFree, open source
The verdict
Point at a Dock icon and see live previews of every open window for that app, then click the one you want or close it right from the preview, the way the Windows taskbar works. It also adds an Option-Tab switcher that lists windows instead of apps. It's free and open source with no analytics, and AltTab, also free, is the leaner choice if you only want the switcher.
Get it if
You keep several windows of the same app open and click through them hunting for the right one.
Skip it if
You work in 1 or 2 full-screen apps, where Command-Tab and Mission Control already cover it.
