Snapset
Save and restore window layouts, tabs and folders
The verdict
Docking a MacBook to a monitor every morning usually means rebuilding the same layout by hand. Snapset saves a set of open apps, window positions, browser tabs and Finder folders, then restores all of it in one go. It also snaps windows by drag or shortcut, so it doubles as a window manager. At $35 with no free trial it costs more than Moom or Rectangle, which arrange windows but never reopen your tabs.
Get it if
You switch between a desk setup and a laptop setup and rebuild your windows every time.
Skip it if
You only snap windows to halves, which Rectangle does for free.
What it helps you do
- Restore your desk setup in one click
- Reopen the right browser tabs per task
- Snap windows by drag or shortcut
- Bring back open Finder folders
