Explainer videos with Claude Code

To make an explainer video with Claude Code, install a skill that writes the script, animates it, adds a voiceover and captions, and renders an MP4. Useful Studio's /studio-explainer makes a 60 to 90 second explainer on a Mac in 10 to 40 minutes.
What Claude Code can and cannot make
Claude Code does not generate video. It writes code that draws text, shapes, diagrams and your screenshots, frame by frame. That is why the result is a motion graphics explainer, not live action and not AI-generated footage or images.
Claude alone gives you animation code in a browser tab. Turning it into a finished MP4 with readable text, a voiceover, captions and music is the part a skill handles.
How to make one with Useful Studio
- Run /studio-setup once. It installs everything in about 5 minutes. No admin password.
- Run /studio-brand once. It saves your logo, colours, fonts and tone. Every explainer after that matches.
- Run /studio-explainer. Paste your notes, a lesson or an outline and answer a few plain questions. It writes the story, one idea on screen at a time.
- Let it run. Most videos take 10 to 40 minutes. The voiceover runs on your Mac and captions are timed to every word.
- Check the score. /studio-critique rates the film on hook, readability, motion, pace, composition, brand and sound, and fixes the weakest until every score is 8 or more.
You get an MP4 in 16:9 for YouTube and your site, and 9:16 for Reels and Shorts. The gallery has an example: an 82 second explainer made from lesson notes, a 32 minute run. Watch it on the Studio page.
