Published by Rajasekaran Ponnuchamy. Wristkeeper is a watch collection and wear log. It has no accounts, no sign in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not run a server that receives your data, and we cannot see your collection.
What we collect
Nothing. Your collection, photos, wear history, notes, prices and settings are stored on your iPhone. The sections below describe the Apple services the app uses on your behalf, and the one file the app downloads.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud on your iPhone, your collection, photos and wear history are copied to your own private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit), so they are backed up and available on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. This data is stored in your iCloud account, under Apple's privacy policy, and is not visible to us. If you are not signed in to iCloud, your collection stays on this iPhone only; Settings shows which is the case. Turning off iCloud for Wristkeeper in the iPhone's Settings stops the sync.
In-app purchases
Wristkeeper Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment, your Apple Account and the receipt. The app only asks the App Store whether Pro is active on your Apple Account; it never sees your payment details. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in your Apple Account settings.
Apple Intelligence
On iPhones that support Apple Intelligence, the app uses Apple's on-device language model to answer questions you type in Ask, and to suggest the display, strap and complications from a watch photo when you add a watch. This processing happens on your iPhone. Your questions and photos are not sent to us.
Finding a photo online
When you tap "Find a photo online" while adding a watch, the app opens a Google Images search for the brand and model you entered, in an in-app browser (Safari). Only that search text goes to Google, and only when you tap. Anything you do in that browser is covered by Google's and Apple's own privacy policies. The app does nothing with Google otherwise.
Weather
If you allow location access, the app uses your rough location only to request local weather from Apple Weather (WeatherKit). That request is handled by Apple's system frameworks and is covered by Apple's privacy policy. The last weather reading is kept on your iPhone and contains no location. If you do not allow location access, the app simply shows no weather.
Watch catalog
Once a day at most, the app downloads the public watch catalog file (brands, models and their specifications) from theusefulmedia.com. The request carries no account, no identifier and no cookies, and nothing about your collection.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled entirely on your iPhone. Nothing about them leaves it.
Exports and sharing
Insurance lists, spreadsheets, share cards and Wrist Report videos are made on your iPhone and go only where you send them with the system share sheet.
Retention and deletion
Everything is stored on your iPhone (and, with iCloud sync, in your iCloud account) until you delete it. Deleting a watch deletes its photos and its wear history, on every device that syncs. Deleting the app deletes the data on this iPhone; the copy in iCloud can be removed in your iPhone's Settings under your name, iCloud, Manage Storage, Wristkeeper.
Children
Wristkeeper is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If any of the above ever changes, this policy will be updated before the app behaves differently.
